"New person glare"

The aspect of sports journalism etiquette that’s most important to me is definitely professional attitude. Professional attitude is a must because sports players always answer your question depending on how you asked the question. If you ask them a dumb question, they’ll either ignore it, go around it or give a negative reaction and that’s the last thing anybody would want from a player, especially if its’s you’re favorite. The most difficult aspect I think I’d have difficulty with are press conferences. This is because there are many other reporters who are trying to do the same thing you are because it’s their job. You have to be aggressive because “If you are timid and shy, you will not get to ask your questions and will have to settle for quotes from another reporter’s inquiry.” If I were to cover a game today, I’d definitely get a “new person glare” because it takes time to understand the aspect of journalism and if you’re a veteran, that means you have had time and practice to get to where you are at.
